When not doing research, you can find me playing competitive Pokémon VGC. I started playing official Pokémon tournaments in 2018 in California. Since then, I have qualified for five Pokémon World Championships (2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025). I finished as the 1st in the UK in the 2024 season and 3rd in the 2025 season on the championship points leaderboard. I have had three top-8 finishes in major tournaments with ~500 players. I am a member of Team China in the 2024 Pokémon VGC World Cup. I am also a founder of Nanjing Pokémon Monthly and the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai Pokémon League, grassroots tournaments that provide opportunities for China’s underrepresented Pokémon players to make friends, improve their skills, and become globally competitive.

My favorite Pokémon is Togedemaru.
